Prof. Bhatt shared his wide range of works and inspirational journey with CEPT Alumni in the Americas. Initial discussion focused on his extensive research in the field of human settlements planning, urban design, housing and urban agriculture. More specifically, he highlighted his recent book published in 2020, titled: BLUEPRINT FOR A HACK (https://actar.com/product/blueprint-for-a-hack/). It exemplified challenges of the life in a northern village in Quebec and applying a “hacking mindset” to reimagine community spaces by conceptualizing and building an outdoor community pavilion, while teaming up with locals and designers from southern Quebec and innovatively utilizing the DIY up-cycling.
